We had a great time this summer checking things off our Summer List. Owen was particularly into the check mark part of things and would often have the Sharpie in hand as soon as we got home from completing something, looking carefully for the next thing we could do. My future list-maker in the making. :)
This summer we took our first-ever vacation as a family. We spent a week in Blue Ridge, GA borrowing the vacation home of generous friends. We had originally planned to camp, so we were super excited when we pulled up to this…
And while it still feels like summer (we went swimming today), it is now fall. Here are some of our summer highlights…
Catching fireflies in the mountains
Fishing with Daddy (also known as Owen’s favorite thing in the world)
Riding an open-air train through the Blue Ridge mountains
(Yes, we are wearing matching vacation shirts!)
Taking an impromptu hike to a waterfall…so fun with the kids!
Taking a cousins boat ride to the beach to play and fish
Catching a snook
Visiting SeaWorld one last time before our 2-year passes expired
Playing at a great local park
and a lot of swimming
Summer just went by too fast.
The heat is welcome to go, but the lazier days are always welcome to stay.
